HANNOH was founded in 1994 by Paris-based designer Hannoh Wessel, with a new company opening in Northern Italy in 2015 producing the H+ HANNOH label.
Seeking to turn down the dial on consumerist compulsions and counter the excess of high-end fashion, Hannoh Wessel’s collections pay tribute to paced, sustainable fashion. His first collection was an immediate success with fashion journalists, and was sold into discerning fashion shops such as Galeries Lafayette in Paris and Henri Bendel in New York.
Wessel’s unique, timeless garments are manufactured exclusively in a small factory in Northern Italy and emphasise the use of expertly woven and dyed natural fibres; linens, cottons, tweeds, cashmere, wool and silk. His desire is to convey the emotional strength of the past, to make time and experience into something tangible and material … in fact, to design garments that tell stories.
Details are drawn from every day work-wear and military influences, including buttons, pockets, cinches and belting. The H+ Hannoh Wessel collections are based upon the principals of refined comfort and timelessness, employing natural materials and artisan craftsmanship to create the line’s shirts, skirts, jackets, and trousers.
The authenticity of Wessel’s collection is steeped in his love for detail and natural textiles, upholding his unique aesthetic whilst maintaining appeal at the forefront of fashion.
