Autumn 2022 marks the second release of limited-edition graphics from The Retrospectrum Collection by Bob Dylan.

Exploring the sheer breadth of Dylan’s achievement and his monumental impact on the world as a musician, poet and artist, The Retrospectrum Collection is titled in celebration of the international tour of Dylan’s major museum retrospective of the same name. The collection has been greatly anticipated by Dylan collectors worldwide, since Retrospectrum first opened to the public at Modern Art Museum, Shanghai in 2019.

In January, Castle Fine Art released the first instalment from Bob Dylan’s The Retrospectrum Collection in celebration of the international tour of Dylan’s major museum retrospective of the same name.

The collection proved to be one of the artist’s most popular to date, selling out in just days. Now, Castle Fine Art announce the second installment of limited-edition graphics from this body of work. This collection represents a visual pathway following Dylan’s artistic journey, whose ever-evolving artistry continues to position him as unarguably one of the most revered living visual artists on a global stage.

Within this collection of limited-edition graphics there’s a clear documentation of key thematic motifs, now synonymous with Dylan’s canon of work.

When speaking about the scenes he is often drawn to, Dylan commented: “I chose images because of the meanings they have for me and patterns can be seen in the repeating images – roads, shacks, piers, automobiles, streets, bayous, railroad tracks, bridges, motels, truck stops, power lines, farm yards, theatre marquees, churches, signs and symbols, etc. – all establishing a certain type of compositional value. I would say the purpose is plain, non-experimental or exploratory.”
